How much does plastering cost?
A useful plastering cost estimate starts with the surfaces and scope. Current UK observations put skimming around £15–£30 per m² and a medium-room re-skim around £430–£550. This calculator measures the actual walls and ceiling, then separates skim, replaster, plasterboard, lime and rendering work instead of multiplying floor area by one generic rate.

What the estimate does—and does not—calculate
The internal path derives measured wall and ceiling area, supports repeated similar rooms and applies a job-specific 2026 rate band. The rendering path starts from net external wall area, separates four render systems and shows access or scaffold allowances. Both expose surface and regional adjustments rather than claiming postcode-level accuracy.
